Epiphone Blackstone c.1950
Serial number 59165. The Epiphone Blackstone was a popular archtop guitar, introduced in 1931 at the height of big band and swing music. This particular example is a non cutaway option made towards the end of its production. Constructed with a 16 3/8” carved arched Spruce top with maple back & sides and finished with an iconic two tone “Burst” finish and fully bound. The original hanger tailpiece, two piece bridge, and faux tortoiseshell pickguard are present. The neck is made of multi-ply walnut and maple, with an ebony fingerboard and attractive mother of pearl inlays, straight neck, excellent frets. The overall condition is very good condition with some age related marks. Supplied in a beautiful hard shell case. £2000 Photos

Gibson TGL4 c. 1944 
Serial number 97852. The Gibson TG product line was popular at the height of big band and swing music. This particular example is a non cutaway variant, constructed with a carved 16.5” arched Spruce top with maple back & sides, finished with an iconic two-tone “Burst” finish and fully bound. It is fitted with the original hanger tailpiece, rosewood bridge, and faux tortoise shell pickguard. The neck is made of maple, with an ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl split parallelogram inlay, with original Kluson double line tuners, script Gibson logo and a fleur-de-lis inlay in the peg head overlay. The neck is straight with excellent frets. The overall condition is very good with some age related marks. Supplied in its original case. £3500
