Busato Grande Modelle Tenor Guitar
On Consignment. This instrument is kept with its owner in Devon, England.Busato tenor Grande Modelle.  This is one of possibly only a dozen made in the Paris Monilmontant workshop of Bertollo Busato sometime in the 1940s.  Headstock and paper labels.  It has the larger of the then available 6-string bodies (16" lower bout and 4" depth) but with a factory 4 string neck.  Original in every detail and in quite extraordinary condition the guitar is wearing a set of DR tuners to conserve the original BB set which come with it.  Spruce top, Brazillian Rosewood sides and back with huge bombe and pliage (see photo) matching many violins of the period!  Perfect low action with no buzzing or any other issue. Currently in re-entrant tuning and with Busato generally considered second only to Selmer Maccaferris this is the very next best thing to an 8,000 euro EFS. A joy to play. HSC. £2800. Photos
